DMC's Satellite Photos HEADING_TITLE

DMC International Imaging Ltd (DMCii) is a UK company supplying satellite imagery products and services to international customers from the multi-satellite Disaster Monitoring Constellation (DMC).

The images from the satellites are used in a wide variety of commercial and government applications, including agriculture, forestry and environmental mapping. Our imagery is used by organisations such as the European Commission, Brazilian Space Agency, United Nations and the US Geological Survey. Superb quality high-resolution giclée prints of these images are now available for printing-on-demand.

DMC’s small satellites provide daily revisit combined with an unmatched 660km imaging swath width for frequent broad area coverage. Our multispectral image products offer a resolution of 32-metres GSD (from 2009, we will provide twice the data density at 22-metre GSD).

We coordinate the DMC for humanitarian use in the event of major international disasters.  We provide 24-hour emergency on-call officer services and, in the event of a major disaster, use our expertise to select appropriate satellites for individual disaster circumstances. Imagery is supplied to organisations such as the United Nations and the U.S. Geological Survey during disasters such as tsunami, forest fires and flooding.

We successfully delivered a full 2007 coverage of 38 countries in Europe with 32-metre multispectral DMC data for the European Space Agency. The data is licensed for Global Monitoring Environment & Security Land Monitoring Service, and is available for Cat.-1 scientific research.
